Unique Table Lamps and Shades with Beautiful Patterns

UNIQUE PATTERNED TABLE LAMPS AND SHADES

Since Zazzle is running a 40% off sale on table lamps and shades right now (through the 14th of December 2016), I decided it was the perfect time to post about them here. Of all the products an artist can design on, I find the table lamps to be one of the coolest. It's so neat to have my art printed on a lampshade, where it will glow with light.

In the past, I've bought two of these lamps - both gifts. They're very sturdy, desk-sized lamps. The printing is beautiful and crisp, showing even the smallest details in the designs. That's another reason I love these lamps; I don't think the printing could be better!

On each product page, you have your choice of table lamps, tripod lamps, just the lampshade or a pendant variety. You can also choose your own trim color.

I've collected ALL MY LAMP DESIGNS IN ONE PLACE HERE.

But I want to show some of my favorites (here they're shown on tripod and table lamp styles):

1. This one is my favorite beach one. I had fun drawing this elegant, minimalist coral reef pattern. The aqua blue color can even be "customized" to any color you like. This is the tripod lamp style:

2. I think the mid-century modern look is really cool. I love the color palettes of the 1950s and 60s, and the use of geometric shapes. I have this original lamp design in three different color schemes. I picture it in Don Draper's office on Mad Men:

3. I'm really, really thinking about ordering this one. As someone who loves nothing better than spending all day exploring books, this one fits my personal taste. This intricate pattern was fun to make. It took some brainstorming to come up with all the titles on the books' spines.

4. Here's one I have displayed on the table lamp style. It's an original design that also has that retro look I love, with eyeglass frames in a variety of colorful shapes:

5. I love to read interior design books and watch shows that feature beautiful home interiors, and one thing I always notice is a touch of black-and-white zebra stripe. It seems to match everything and draw in the eye.

6. Continuing with the minimalist theme, here's a pretty beach lamp I just added. This serene watercolor is definitely for a room where you plan on doing a lot of relaxing.

7. This tribal one with a country western feel is new, too. The pattern actually came from a very old book I found on Archive.org. It had a small, grainy black-and-white sample of this Peruvian textile design in it. It was a real challenge turning the zigzags into a repeating pattern. But it ended up looking pretty cool in shades of brown and turquoise:

8. Here's another that started out as an old pattern. This one came from Victorian-era stained glass, and the original was much different from my final result. I loved the basic knotwork, but I gave it more of a modern Celtic look. I just bought this design on a bathmat for a relative, and it looks intricate yet subtle at the same time. There are a few color variations in the lamp collection.

9. This flamingo design is one of my favorites. I just bought it for a relative in black on a tote and pillow. Here it is with a light tropical green color scheme, but I also have the black version and a blue version on lamps. This design is my original work, but I made it to have an Art Deco look with geometric shapes. When I made it, I was reading a book about Art Deco textile motifs and wanted to make one of my own.

10. Last but not least: the perfect lamp for your game room. This one has an original playing card suit pattern. It's been awhile since I made this design, but I remember that it was a challenge getting the suits to fit together - like solving a puzzle. I didn't want them to go in a straight line, but look like they'd been tossed around:

Those are 10 of my favorites! Check out THE WHOLE COLLECTION to see them all.

There's a wide variety, and I'll probably be adding more. Don't forget to use promo code ZCUSTOMGIFTS to get 40% off through December 14th.

And if you see a design you like but want a different color scheme, let me know.

Inexpensive Unique Christmas Gift Ideas Under $10

Updated to include 2020 calendars

UNIQUE CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS UNDER $10 FOR 2016

The 2016 holiday shopping season is here, and I've been gathering together lots of funny, cute and personalized gift ideas on Zazzle - all of them $10 and under. It's always a fun challenge to collect the best gifts that fall into this inexpensive price range. While these gift ideas are cheap price-wise, they are still totally unique and custom, making them perfect for a stocking stuffer or an office secret santa / white elephant gift exchange. They are also perfect for anyone who wants to give a thoughtful gift while on a budget.

I blogged about last year's list here, if you want to check out even more gift ideas!

The 2016 list is full of over 200 gift ideas. You can check out the entire list here. I'm going to show you some of my favorites:

1. This custom moonshine design is brand-new, and it looks great on the can coolers and drink coasters. Make your own moonshine by adding your photo and text. You can even change "Tennessee" to your own state or country. This would make a great gift for your husband or dad.

I'm still adding this design to a wider range of products and in more color options. You can check out the whole selection here. Let me know if you don't see the design or color on the product you want.

2. Calendar magnets. These are practical and personal at the same time. On these two, you can add your photo behind the calendar. The top one works best for darker photos, and the bottom one for lighter photos. Check out all our 2020 calendars in this collection here.

3. There are plenty of funny, silly magnets, buttons and bottle openers in the collection. The top magnet here is for any older person in your family with a sense of humor. It's a great gift for a birthday. You can customize the year:

Run your own coffee shop with this magnet:

This magnetic bottle opener with a bottle cap look lets you own a brewery and pub:

This button with a personalized anchor is fit for a boat captain:

4. The collection has more post-it notes this year. These simply elegant zebra striped ones are for the stylish person in your life:

5. These custom air fresheners are for the RVers in your family. The design also comes in a different color option here.

6. Out of all the jelly bean / mint tin options, I'm partial to this Art Deco one. I gave it to a relative for Christmas last year, and she loved it. It's a small tin that fits in your pocket. There are a few more in the collection:

I hope you enjoy the entire collection!

New Ugly Christmas Sweaters for Your Holiday Party 2016

UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS FOR YOUR HOLIDAY PARTY

My absolute favorite thing about the Christmas season is designing new, ridiculous "Ugly Christmas Sweater" shirts. Each year, I try to see if I can come up with ideas that are even funnier and odder than last year. So, I thought I would show you some of my Ugly Sweater designs that are new - and my favorites through the years.

Here they are, all new and shiny and incredibly tacky:

1. How could Christmas not be influenced by politics this year? I made a couple different versions of this one where Vixen the reindeer looks like Nixon.

2. Kitty cats always make great Ugly Sweater themes. I have a couple Christmas kitties right now, and will probably make even more in the future. Here's one I made last year:

This year, I went all dark and made an evil demon cat who wants nothing more than to destroy your holiday festivities. Meet Krampuss:

3. I also got inspired by weightlifting. Who doesn't want to look all tough while wearing an Ugly Sweater? I figured Santa Claus had been working out a lot this year:

And maybe you've been working out a lot, too:

4. Then I decided that nothing is better for an Ugly Holiday Sweater than something that might shock your grandma. So I made these. How about Santa flashing through the snow with a strategically-placed Christmas package?

Or the shocking realization that you, somehow, know what Blitzen the Reindeer tastes like:

I made this one last year. You've been naughty! Santa will have to take down your stocking!

5. Here's another one I made for women. I love how big the bow ended up being. Nice and cheesy!

6. Of course, you can't have Ugly Christmas Sweaters without some drinking themes. I made the first two last year, one for women and one for men:

Then there's the classic, Santa Claus holding a beer:

This is just a small sample of the tackiness!

GO HERE to explore the whole collection.

If you're looking for a Christmas t-shirt or all-over-print tank top, I also have those COLLECTED HERE.

New Unique Leggings on Zazzle + Coupon Code

PRETTY ALL-OVER-PRINT PATTERNED LEGGINGS

Zazzle recently introduced all-over-print leggings, and I've been having tons of fun designing them. In fact, I've made so many that I have an entire collection full - and the list is growing!

I thought it would be fun to show off some of my favorites, especially since they are 50% today through midnight Pacific Standard Time (November 2nd, 2016). Just use the code NEWOUTFITS4U at checkout and get these beautiful, unique leggings at half price.

1. I absolutely love this brand-new one. I made them to look like a knitted / cross stitch Christmas sweater. These intricately-designed leggings have a festive pattern made up of snowmen, reindeer, pine trees, birds, mountains, snowflakes and much more. No one else will have a pair of holiday leggings as gorgeous as these!

2. Are you from the future? If you are, you need some space pants. I made this design specifically for leggings, because nothing is cooler than wearing the universe. These are geometric and futuristic looking, and each triangle has a different glimpse of outer space inside, from galaxies to nebulae, the moon, the sun, stars, and more.

3. Maybe you've traveled here from the past instead of the future. These geeky leggings are covered in an original pattern I made to look like vintage library card catalog drawers. As a bonus, each drawer has a different author's name on it.

4. Since I can't stop loving books, I also had to add my bookshelf pattern. This one has a 3D / trompe l'oeil effect that's really cool.

5. I got inspired to make some tribal patterns while watching Survivor. These are a couple of my favorites:

6. These poker suit leggings would be perfect for a trip to a casino in fabulous Las Vegas:

7. Oh no! You're covered in bees! This honeybee design is one of my all-time favorites.

8. Wear your coffee love with these cute bean pattern leggings.

9. Go all Great Gatsby / Jazz Age with these swanky black-and-gold Art Deco shell leggings:

10. Paint yourself in colorful autumn maple leaves for the fall season:

That's just a small sample of all the beautiful leggings I have to offer.

And don't forget to use coupon code NEWOUTFITS4U at checkout to get these unique leggings 50% off through midnight Pacific Standard Time (November 2nd, 2016).

Personalized 2017 Photo Calendars

2017 WALL CALENDARS, MAGNETS, POSTERS AND MORE

2017 is coming up fast, and so is the holiday season! This year, I'm offering a very wide selection of calendar products in my FancyCelebration Zazzle store and in the new  PictureCollage Store. I've made updated versions of last year's most popular designs and expanded to include some very swanky Art Deco styles, trendy floral stripes, elegant photo templates and much more. I've also added a new photo wall calendar filled with beautiful patterns and easy templates for your family pictures.

But let me show you some of my favorites!

1. Here is the newest photo wall calendar. Each month has a different pattern, from snowflakes to flowers, shells, beach scenes, autumn leaves and a design that looks like a knitted sweater. Your family photos are easy to upload for each month of the year. The cover looks like marble and gold:

2. This version that I made last year has cute seasonal scenes behind your photos. It's been updated for the 2017 calendar year. I had a lot of fun making a scene for each month:

3. This is my favorite new mousepad calendar. It has that Roaring 20s Great Gatsby look in all black and gold. And you can easily add your name or another short line of text at the top:

4. On this new mousepad, you can add one large photo behind the calendar dates.

5. This new calendar poster is so pretty with stripes, flowers and room for your photo and caption:

6. The stripe and floral motif also looks lovely on a clipboard. This is the first time I've made a calendar clipboard, and I like the way it turned out. You can add custom text to this one:

7. My favorite calendar addition is the magnetic cards. This one is pretty in pink. You can easily add your photos and text:

This is just a small sample of the calendars available. I hope you enjoy the entire collection.

Celebrate 2017 with a pretty, personalized calendar.
